Why is Baltic Birch Recommended for Jig Work

Here are the reasons why:

Baltic Birch Plywood is void free, which makes its dimensions more consistent and of a better quality than regular construction grade plywood.

Hard Board for template routing. It is hard and keeps its shape for multiple part making and double sided carpet tape doesnt rip it up. The thin edges make it easier to shape too. MDF Plywood Board is for most part and above other things that are one offs.

One good example is that it's flat and easy to work but doesn't take screws well. Baltic Birch ply for things that need to be flat, durable and are used a lot. Panel sled for example. Shop grade plywood for durable but flat doesn’t matter.
